Furthering its mission to boost individuals and communities across the islands, RF Bank & Trust (RF) made two donations last month to support the educational needs of young men and women who will be future leaders. The contributions are part of RF’s unwavering commitment to helping its neighbors in the Bahamas, Barbados, and Cayman Islands create wealth, whether financial, emotional, or physical.

Recognizing the transformative power of education, RF is committed to supporting top graduating students at Bahamian high schools. At the Alpha Phi Alpha 37th Honours Day Convocation, RF presented an outstanding student – Delvyn Daxon of Doris Johnson Senior High School – with a Professional Award, along with a scholarship that will enable him to pursue his dreams.

“At RF Bank & Trust, we understand the importance of investing in education as a means of empowering future generations. Supporting initiatives like the Alpha Phi Alpha Honours Day Convocation aligns with our core values of helping our clients and communities create wealth,” said David Slatter, VP & Group Head of Investments at RF. “Knowledge is the access point to building wealth, and we’re proud to contribute to the educational aspirations of young men across The Bahamas and help them achieve their dreams.”

RF further extended its investment in local education by donating to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority's 46th Annual Honors Day and Scholarship Program, “Soaring in the Pursuit of Greatness: Crafting a Legacy of Success and Excellence.” RF made a donation to support female students in their higher education endeavors and break down barriers to equal opportunities for Bahamians to thrive academically.

“We’re truly honored to support the AKA Sorority in its efforts to help young women pursue their educational dreams,” said Rachael Allahar, AVP of Marketing at RF. “We hold a strong belief in education's capacity to create profound change. By investing in the academic success of these students, we are investing in the future of our community by shaping brighter prospects of our entire community.”
