(CAYMAN ISLANDS) RF Bank & Trust (Cayman) Limited (RF), in partnership with the Cayman Islands Society for Human Resources Professionals (CISHRP), recently hosted over 150 Human Resource professionals at the HR Leadership Forum in the Marriott. The half day event focused on providing tools and advice to those in the field of human resources on self-motivation, attracting and retaining top talent, and navigating the future of remote work.
“We are happy to partner with RF on providing meaningful resources for HR practitioners,” commented Ms. Valentine Ball, President of CISHRP. “We heard experts explore topics that are impacting our organizations today including retirement planning and hybrid work. It was great to hear from local HR professionals and share our experiences to help each other continue to be nimble when it comes to the future of work.”
The event included presentations by Llyod Barker, Founder and Executive Director of the Non-Profit Organization, “Pursuit of Excellence – The Lloyd Barker Foundation” and Cleora Farquharson, Group VP of Pension Services at RF Bank & Trust. The event concluded with a panel discussion led by Sara Jan from Kerage Un Limited and featured panelists Anya Edun, Dart Vice President People and Culture, Phil Jackson, Cayman National Corporation Chief Human Resources Officer, Samantha Nehra, Chief of Staff at Real Vision and Valentine Ball, MUFG Junior Associate Director of Human Resources.
“The time to position your organization competitively is now. Millennials and younger generations in particular are no longer settling for the status quo when it comes to employee benefits,” commented Cleora Farquharson, Group VP of Pension Services ar RF. ” The cost of living is increasing and so is minimum wage. Companies have to find alternatives for delivering a desirable benefits package that doesn’t end in a salary war. Things like investment opportunities, wealth creation tools and employer provided financial literacy resources are in high demand.”
According to the Society for Human Resource Management’s (SHRM) 2022 Employee Benefits Survey, company-sponsored retirement plans or pensions come in at number two on the most valued employee benefits. Given the concerns surrounding the pension holidays long term repercussions, these benefits and the proper management of them have also increased in interest locally.
RF Bank & Trust will follow this event with their annual conference on March 16th at the Kimpton Seafire Resort under the theme, "Evolving Risks: the way forward". Interested persons are encouraged to register online at www.rfceo.ky.
